RFID Tags for
Every Environment

From paper inlays on pharmaceutical cartons to industrial-grade hard tags on metal assets — the right RFID tag is as critical as the reader. We supply and specify tags matched to your substrate, read range, environment, and application.

Four Core Tag Technologies,
Each Built for Different Work

RFID tags are not interchangeable. Frequency, substrate compatibility, read range, and environmental durability vary significantly — choosing wrong costs you read reliability and deployment ROI.

UHF · 860–960 MHz
UHF RFID Tags
Long-range identification for high-volume logistics and inventory

UHF Gen2 tags are the workhorse of supply chain and warehousing. They can be read in bulk — hundreds of tags per second — from up to 10 metres with a fixed reader, or 3–6 metres handheld. Available as flexible paper inlays for labels or rigid hard tags for reusable assets.

Read Range
Up to 10m (fixed)
Bulk Read
100s/sec simultaneously
Memory
96–512 bit EPC
Standard
EPC Gen2 / ISO 18000-6C
Carton & pallet tracking through dock doors
Inventory stocktaking in warehouses
Retail apparel and garment management
Supply chain serialisation and traceability
HF · 13.56 MHz · NFC
HF & NFC Tags
Short-range precision identification for healthcare and access

High-frequency and NFC tags operate at close range (up to ~1m), making them ideal for applications that require deliberate, one-at-a-time reads — patient wristbands, pharmaceutical unit-dose labelling, blood bag tracking, and access control. NFC-enabled tags can also interface with standard smartphones.

Read Range
Up to 1m (typically <20cm)
NFC Compatible
ISO 14443 / 15693
Memory
Up to 8KB
Standard
ISO 14443A/B, ICODE
Patient wristbands and clinical identification
Pharmaceutical unit-dose and blood bag labelling
Library book and media management
Smart packaging with NFC tap-to-verify
On-Metal · UHF Anti-Metal
On-Metal RFID Tags
Purpose-built for metallic assets where standard tags fail

Standard RFID tags detune severely when mounted on metal surfaces — an on-metal tag includes a ferrite or foam isolation layer that prevents interference and maintains read performance. Available in rigid epoxy, ceramic, and PCB form factors rated for industrial environments including high temperature and pressure washing.

Read Range
1–5m (on-metal)
Temperature
-40°C to +220°C (ceramic)
IP Rating
IP68 / IP69K available
Attachment
Screw, rivet, or adhesive
IT equipment and server rack asset tracking
Industrial machinery and tooling management
Surgical instrument tracking through autoclave cycles
Oil & gas and marine asset management
Specialty · Application-Specific
Specialty & Embedded Tags
Engineered for harsh, regulated, or non-standard substrates

Some applications demand more than a standard tag. Laundry tags survive hundreds of industrial wash cycles. Pharmaceutical-grade inlays meet GS1 serialisation requirements. Windshield tags enable passive vehicle identification at range. Embedded tags are moulded directly into plastic pallets, tote bins, or fabric — surviving years of continuous use.

Compliance
GS1, EPC, SGTIN
Linen and uniform tracking in hospitality & healthcare
Vehicle access and fleet management at gate portals
Reusable plastic pallet and tote identification
Pharmaceutical serialisation and GS1 compliance

The Same Technology,
Six Different Forms

RFID tags come in more shapes than most people expect. The form factor determines how it attaches, how long it lasts, and what environments it can survive.

Label Inlays & Smart Labels
Paper or synthetic label stock with an embedded RFID inlay — printable on standard Zebra ZT or ZD-series RFID printers. The most cost-effective tag for high-volume, single-use applications. Substrate options include paper, polyester, polypropylene, and direct thermal.
High Volume Printable GS1 Ready
Wristbands
Single-use and reusable RFID wristbands for patient identification, event access, and staff credentialing. Clinical wristbands use HF/NFC for bedside verification; event wristbands use UHF for gate entry at range. Available in paper, Tyvek, silicone, and fabric materials.
Clinical Event Reusable Options
Hard Tags & Asset Tags
Rigid ABS, epoxy, or ceramic tags designed for long-term asset attachment — rated for years of continuous use in industrial environments. Attachment options include adhesive, rivet, screw, and cable tie. Available in UHF, HF, and on-metal variants.
Reusable Industrial On-Metal Options
Laundry Tags
Sealed UHF tags designed to survive industrial laundry processes — withstanding repeated wash, tumble-dry, and steam press cycles at up to 200°C. Used in hotel linen, hospital uniform, and workwear management programmes where accurate cycle-count tracking drives cost control.
200+ Washes Heat Resistant Sewable
Windshield & Vehicle Tags
Passive UHF tags designed for adhesive mounting on vehicle windscreens — readable at 3–8m range by fixed portal readers for hands-free vehicle identification. Used for car park access, factory gate management, and fleet yard control without requiring active transponders or battery maintenance.
Passive Long Range Hands-Free
Embedded & Moulded Tags
RFID inlays moulded directly into plastic pallets, tote bins, or containers during manufacturing — invisible, protected, and permanent. No adhesive failure, no tag loss, no manual re-tagging. Ideal for reusable transport equipment programmes where the asset outlives any surface-mounted label.
Permanent No Adhesive Pallet / Tote

Matched to Your
Industry Requirements

Different industries impose different constraints — regulatory compliance, substrate materials, environmental conditions, and read accuracy requirements all influence which tag is right.
